"Photography is an escape for me, and so many times I wanted to escape my life. I felt like I was standing on my own in the darkness, with no way out. The dark thoughts spin round in your head. In my art I wanted to express the feeling of disorder and chaos, in a contract of light and dark. When light is the tiny flicker of hope that whispers to you at the end of the day, 'keep going'."
