Alienation

"Being surrounded by constant misunderstanding I found a perfect way to express myself - through art. You can express any horrible thoughts and feelings in a beautiful way through symbols and figures, and for some reason, others understand it better than in words. I have difficulties expressing myself, I have difficulties introducing myself to others, and so my drawings became also a way of communication. My self-portraits are the most sincere reflection of my mind.

This work is full of metaphors, first of all it's a metaphor of isolation. Bookcase = my mind (no doors because I have almost no secrets) Books = thoughts Bunch of doll bodies = obsessions (neurosis) Background (pink colour) = illusions where the masses prefer to live, and I try to isolate myself from this Brains = energy and danger that surround me (paranoia)"
