"The piece depicts the isolation I feel as I look from my bedroom window. I have broken the view down using lines and shapes which I have painted onto separate boards to fit together. These represent how I have tried to guard my emotions and keep my feelings within boxes in my head which have now left me feeling isolated; experiencing overwhelming bouts of depression and anxiety. Though I have used tones of greys and black to describe the darkness, there are a few lines of cobalt blue which represent a lifeline of hope."
