"I've been bipolar for 18 years and travelled through four extreme relapses during that time. That's where my grandiose dreams about becoming a writer and artist come from. Dreams that I've stuck at over the years. Even through the darkest of times I still find something positive at the end of each manic journey. I would recommend that anyone who finds creativity in mental illness to hold on to it because it gives so much back to the person who creates it. Plus it gives a platform to people who want to share their experience with others.
This work depicts a broken and punctured heart but within that trauma there is a new strength growing."
