"When you have Bipolar Disorder, the lows tend to sneak up on you (snail). Before you know it, you've fallen deep down into the pit of despair. The bright colours and sunshine show how it doesn't matter how sunny and colourful everything is on the outside; lows can hit you at any time.

I've had Bipolar 2 since I was a teen but not diagnosed and treated for 35 years (despite seeing a variety of doctors and counsellors). I’ve found art to be a great way for me to get feelings out, feelings I didn't even know I had until I start drawing. But when I'm in a REAL low, I can't even do art. In fact, I hadn't done any art for a year until I started doing nightly sketches."
