I wonder sometimes if this tragic split of personality is something we inflict on ourselves (like in a book that inspired the title) or if it is done by others’ malicious intent. Another question to ask here is this: does this split occurs naturally in us, constitute the normal part of our psyche, or is it a perversion? Can I reconcile two parts of me or erase the evil twin? And if I could, will any part of a virtuous twin be affected too?"
